Bowen and Emmett Techniques

These powerful techniques reduce pain, increase flexibility, and restore the ability to recover from many conditions.  These techniques relieve muscle tension and pain from arthritis and injuries.  The sessions usually last around 45 minutes, although the first session is longer.  Karin applies gentle rolling pressure on muscles, and applies pressure on specific muscle activation points, to release and restore muscle function.  Bowen and Emmett techniques are great for horses and dogs how are sensitive and don't tolerate massage and other body techniques.

Usually 3 or 4 sessions, about a week apart, establish initial rebalancing.  Then, sessions can be planned for ongoing maintenance.

MSTR™

MSTR is a unique gentle technique that reorders and releases scar tissue.  MSTR is not painful, even if the scar is uncomfortable.  The work is done within a horse's or dog's comfort level, with breaks taken as the session goes along. Many kinds of scars are improved with MSTR.

Benefits of MSTR:  increased flexibility, reduced pain around the scar site and connected parts of the body, increased confidence, and release of connected emotions.

On the skin surface

  • Cuts from injuries or surgery

  • Burns

  • Excessive keratosis

Below the skin surface

  • Muscle tears

  • Trigger points

  • Thicken under skin-surface scars

Sessions can take about 45-60 minutes.  Scars should be at least 8 weeks old before they are worked on.  Scars that are many years old respond to MSTR!

Cold Laser

Cold laser can be used with other wound care to increase healing of wounds and reduce scar tissue.  It also is effective as an alternative to acupressure, when the laser is used to stimulate acupoints.

Bemer™

Bemer sessions are effective at increasing recovery from stress and intense work, and improving relaxation

Remember All horses and dogs should be given appropriate veterinary care, and clearance from a veterinarian is advisable before engaging in bodywork.
